Our goal remains to assist you in creating an opportunity to present your best material to film production companies for the sole purpose of enhancing the quality of what appears on the great silver screen.  We feel that we might very well be able to direct the new and undiscovered screenwriter to paths of success and industry recognition.  Simply put….to place your script directly into the hands of the people in charge of acquiring new film properties.

The historic strength of our competition lies in the FEEDBACK.  We offer ALL writers in-depth feedback in the form of concise notes.  Our system, though simple…has proven to be ‘tried and true’.  We’ll read your submission once to submerge ourselves in the story. After a second reading we consolidate our notes and offer feedback to the writer.

And last, but certainly not least, we alert our industry contacts as to details regarding our finalists as well as email approximately 2800+ production companies and industry contacts – inviting them to also review our Script Presentation page.

The contest’s aim is to seek out and encourage compelling film narratives, and to introduce the next generation of great screenwriters to today’s leading production companies and agencies.

The winner and top-ten finalists will be considered for representation by UTA, Paradigm, William Morris Independent, The Gersh Agency, CAA, Exile Entertainment, ICM, The Schiff Company, The Radmin Company, Energy Entertainment, Dontanville/Frattaroli, and The Firm.

Welcome to the Fall 2009 Script Showcase Screenwriting Competition!

The Script Showcase semi-annual screenwriting competition offers writers a chance to receive valuable experience, as well as exposure, in the film industry. Winning and/or placing in our competition can help you showcase your screenplay!

Screenplay entries are judged on creativity, originality and formatting. All genres are considered equal in our competition. We are simply looking for the best screenplays in our entry pool.

Batten down the hatches – the STORM is upon us! Welcome, friends, to the fourth annual Writers on the Storm screenplay competition. It’s been a pleasure to bring this contest to you all for the past few years. I’m honored that over 1,400 of you trusted us with your material last year!

From the beginning, we set out to make WOTS stand out from the glut of contests out there. We keep our entry fee as low as possible and offer some pretty beefy prizes (how about 10 grand cash to the winner and over $28,500 total cash and prizes?)
