a suicide story

I just feel like dying right here and now. All this pain and torment is gnawing at my insides and it is driving me insane. I just want to let it all out but I just keep it bottled up inside, letting it slowly kill me and not letting it out for fear of what I just might do if I let this raging monster inside of me out. I have to get rid of the voices, they’re getting stronger every day and I fear that some day soon they will take over and destroy everything I hold dear. My only choice is to kill the monster inside by killing the container that it dwells in, me. I pick up one of the knives closest to me, a birthday present from my sister, and make a deep cut in my arm. This time no pain as I watch tiny rivers of blood stream down my arm and drip onto the floor. I carve an X on my chest right where my heart is and drop the knife. It falls into the pool of blood, I don’t care, I just walk over to where I keep my swords, my only true friends, and grab my most prized and very first sword, the dragon blade. The tip of the blade is pressed against my chest as tears start falling down my face and land in the pool around my feet. One last thought passes through my head and for once it was in my own voice shouting...

Learning To Write Scripts

Among the general public, not much thought is given to the screenwriting profession. The typical person watching a television show or feature film isn't going to give much consideration to how actors come to say what it is that they say. From the average person's perspective, actors may just make things up to say as they go along. The reality however is that actors don't make up what they say: they recite lines of dialogue, which is written by a person typically referred to as a screenwriter.

The Phases Of The Writer's Life

Over the course of my writing life, I have noticed that other writers and I cycle through a series of steps on our path toward maturity as a writer. When people come to me for coaching, they often do not know where they are on the path and what they need to move forward. I've identified the phases and given suggestions for the support will best serve at each phase. Of course, I have seen the powerful impact of coaching at each phase, but I have added other means of support that are valuable for the writer's journey.
